Dedicated for the Glory of God (31st January 2009)
[ The Dedication 31/01/09 | Construction & Development - Early Stages | Construction & Development - Mid Stages | Facilities - Halls | Facilities - Class rooms, etc ]

The 31st of January 2009 marked a milestone in the history of Trinity Community Centre. It was the day we celebrated the official opening and dedication of our new building unto the Lord. Even the heavy showers that came during the early afternoon of that glorious day did not dampen the spirits of members who were eagerly looking forward to the celebrations.

There was great excitement in the air as guests and friends gathered outside the church premises. As the band played, our Senior Pastor, Rev Collin Gordon, accompanied by his wife, Pastor Marie and some of the church elders, made their entrance. The National, Selangor State and TCC flags were raised followed by the Acts of Dedication and the ribbon cutting ceremony. Rev Collin then led the guests into the foyer to witness the unveiling of the plaque and then upstairs to the main sanctuary for the opening service.

The service began solemnly with Solomon’s Prayer of Dedication and was followed by the electrifying entry of the Menorah and flags to stirring music. Pastor Marie then set a blazing “torch” to a “cauldron” to symbolise the commencement of service. This was followed by an inspirational audio-visual presentation of TCC’s history and a rousing dance item by the children of the TCC Home.

Special appreciation and recognition awards were also presented to certain individuals who had played an instrumental role in the construction of the building right from its foundational stage.

Guests were also ministered to in song by Bro. Isaac Joe who flew in all the way from India just to attend the opening. One of the highlights of the evening was the enthralling dances by TCC’s very own troupe of 12 “Miriam Dancers”. Representing the 12 tribes of Israel and the “TCC Family”, they comprised members of the Deaf, Teen and Youth ministries as well as the English, Tamil and Chinese language services. The three men bearing flags were representative of the triune Godhead.

A great time of praise and worship followed after this. Pastor Collin then took to the stage to deliver an inspiring message on the greatness of God and His providence in supplying every need for our RM12 million building – settled in full! The evening ended with members and guests sitting down to a hearty time and a delicious meal at the new Fellowship Hall. To God be the Glory!
